INTRODUCTION: ABOUT SHARERING 

Our identities are generally recognised as attributes of ourselves, which are attached to documents issued to us from a government or an official entity. As our digital lives continue to evolve, so too does the definition of ‘identity’ and what it means to portray ourselves across different touchpoints across the web and in real life (IRL). Your digital identity is more than who you are; it’s the control of how you want to be represented, when and where.

ShareRing is a digital identity blockchain technology company, with a suite of identity toolkits that enable frictionless experiences between people and their digital interactions. Frictionless is the embodiment of efficiency, fluidity, and seamlessness in the interactions we have when offering information about ourselves to another entity, in reciprocation for an interaction, service, or experience.

Our toolkits are designed to enable developers with the freedom to build solutions and/or smart contracts that push for self custodial ownership of personal data in a private and trusted manner.

  1. ShareLedger - ShareLedger is our L1 identity blockchain built in the Cosmos ecosystem. As a permissioned public chain, transactions are immutable once processed, which ensures the highest confidence level of trusted interactions.

  2. CosmWasm - CosmWasm enables smart contract development on ShareLedger, providing developers a platform to build dapps that leverage our identity toolkits. Developers will need to program in Rust; however, Assemblyscript is also supported.

  3. VQL - VQL is a web based platform that provides query requests for information inside one’s Vault. VQL is accessed via a URL link, and one signs into the backend management using their ShareRing Account. Queries can be set up in the backend management platform, and color coding ensures that information requested from the Vault is trusted, and not just a screenshot from another entity. Each ShareRing Account has its own backend management system, and personal information requested via IQL is all encrypted against the ShareRing Account’s private key, providing a highly secure and private environment for data.

Please note that the ShareRing mobile app built for Public TestNet will be prepared via Firebase, so all participants must provide an email address for access.

After the Online Submissions round closes, our team of judges will review the entire project, the solution, and source codes to determine which teams will proceed on to the physical hackathon stage.
